Giving to Support our Local Young Life

Quick Facts:
  • Young Life is an international non-profit organization with local chapters we call Areas. Our local Area is made up of the communities of Carlsbad, Oceanside, Vista and San Marcos.
  • We do not require membership fees or dues from kids attending our events. Most programs are offered free of charge or at nominal cost.
  • Although we are part of a larger organization 100% of our operating budget is funded through donotions from individuals, churches and businesses in our local community. Our work is dependent on their generosity.
  • We have a strong desire to make sure every kid can participate in Young Life regardless of their economic circumstances.
  • When programs require a fee as in the case of summer and school year camps we make every effort to keep cost low and provide support for those in need.

Our Local Area Budget:
Our annual operating budget is $250,000.

Our Budget Funds: 2 full-time and 4 part-time staff, training and care for our dedicated team of volunteers, camp scholarships, supplies and expenses related to our weekly programs with over 250 teenagers, transportation and administrative costs.

We have two major Fundraisers each year that help to raise this budget and continue the work of Young Life in our Communities: our Fall Banquet (October) and the annual Golf Campership event in May.

These  events are easy ways to step in and be part of funding Young life, yet the majority of our funding comes in small monthly amounts from members of this community on a monthly basis. Families, individuals, businesses.

The best way to join us in support is to simply to join these folks and sign-on to donate to Young Life every month. Monthly donations help to ensure the sustainability of Young Life in our community.

We believe that in order to reach kids we must go where they go and enter their world. This is all-important work could not be done without your support. We are grateful for your support. Thank you for all you do to help us reach generations of kids who desperately need to hear a message of hope.

Thank you for your interest in supporting Young Life in our local area.
